Got on the lake around 1:00 PM on Friday. The weather was warming up all afternoon with a slight wind out of the south. I picked up 4 fish on a Carolina rig with a red shad worm - 3 lbs, 3 3/4, 3 1/2,  and 2. All fish around the brush piles. Later in the afternoon the temperature started to drop and it seemed as if the bite stopped. I continue to fish without a bite. At the end of the day I began throwing around the outlet pipe. I get a bump and set the hook. When I got the fish in the boat it 8 1/2 lbs. A personal best! I tried TX rig lizards, crank baits, and rattle baits with no luck. I caught all fish on the red shad worm. I didn't get a great photo. I was too excited and the fish was too big. I'll put the photo on the post, but mine usually end up sideways.

I caught her on a blue/black jig with a blue/black trailer. Not sure what kind just remember the color.

I left a report on the day. I think it was FEB 20 of last year. Post was titled "Windy at Weston".
