Mike and I fished Pecan Gap on Saturday afternoon.  A thunderstorm came through the area between 3:00 and 4:00 am Saturday morning.  We had blue bird skies in the afternoon with a lot of wind for the first few hours and by the time we left, it was calm.  Water temperature was 49-51 degrees when we got on the lake and got up 54 degrees towards the end of the afternoon.  Fishing was tough, but we did catch 3 nice fish.  One was 3 3/4 pounds, one was 3 1/2  pounds and one 2 pounder.  They were all fat and healthy.  We did not catch a single harvest fish.  We tried everything.  The only two lures that worked were a 1 ounce jig and a big red square bill crank bait.  Water level was up a bit and was over most of the dock.  Water was pretty clear.  Would say you could see down about 3 feet.  There is moss in the water, particularly around the edges, but not an issue.  Great property.  We will fish it again.
