Fished Pecan Springs, Wednesday 2/27. Water temps held at 53-54* all over the lake. Fish were sluggish and scattered. The water visability was around 2 ft, deep green color, water was going out the overflow by the dam feeder. We caught most on TR worms and lizards, no color or pattern. Never got a bite on any of the marked brush piles although I marked fish on each site. We talked to the ranch manager and he told us that the lake is just now returning to normal pool levels. He said at one point during all the rains it was up almost 6 ft. That explains all the trash/debris on the launch area and up on the sides of the dam. This is a beautiful place to go and it looks so fishy everywhere. Ohh we managed to catch 8, mostly bank runners. The dock is wonderful and a nice place to eat a snack and stretch your legs and the largest fish came from under the feeder. Tight lines folks, be safe….
