The cold front that moved through early Saturday morning certainly made for a tough bite.  I kept hoping that the weather forecast was wrong, but if anything, it was colder than forecast with intermittent rain in the afternoon.  My first visit to this lake and property and it certainly is beautiful.  The water temperature was 52.9 - 53.6. I focused on the deep end all morning, working the submerged island area, structure points and brush piles with a jig, hoping to bump a fish in the nose and get it to bite. No luck.  Around noon, the on and off rain started, and I decided to check out the rest of the lake.  I threw a square bill on the perimeter and the creek channel stumps and brush piles.  I caught 8 LMB total, with two release fish, both just barely breaking the 16 inch mark, and six cull fish.  I can deal with cold or rain, but cold and rain are a bit much so I ended the day early around 4:00.  Great property and I look forward to returning soon.
