Had a fun weekend at Athens NE! Weather was nice and the fishing was about quality, not quantity. Caught a 5, two 4's and a 3.5! My SOL Jonathan caught a nice 4. That was it, but we'll take it! The lake has lots of vegetation to navigate through, but the big ones are down there, you just have to work through it. Seems like the middle of the lake had more action. Was using flukes and sinkos primarily. Great weekend, enjoyed the old A frame cabin. FYI….none of the TV's in the cabin were working. My guess is a lightning strike may have zapped them at some point.
