Reservation Number : 19611
Property Name : Brushy Creek Lake
Reservation Date : 10/06/2018 AM - 10/06/2018 AM
Total Fish/Sizes : 8
Lures Used : Chatter bait, Rattle Trap, soft plastics

Fished with a partner (Pat Stilley) at Kyle this morning. Got on the water about 7 AM and fished until 12. The day started out slow and a little wet. The water is stained throughout the lake. We fished all the way to dam without picking up any. Got a couple of blow-ups on top-water but didn't boat anything. The fish turn on for a short time near the dam. Boated a couple of 3.5lb using rattle traps and a smaller fish on a square-bill. The other fish boated came on a white chatter bait (4.3lb) and soft plastic near the sunken boat. The fish were all healthy and put up a good fight.

On another note, we spotted an aluminum boat pulled up in the weeds along the bank near the cinder blocks. Could this possibly be the boat that was thought to be stolen from this location? There was another guy fishing from the bank while we were there. Not sure who he was or if he should have been there. Looking forward to fishing this property again as the weather cools....

Rickey,

The person fishing on the lake did not have permission and we don't offer two groups of members fishing at the lake. We have a few poachers who bank fish at the SE corner of the dam hidden from the landowner. Generally these poachers stay in the back 15% of the SE corner of the lake. If we don't see them we cannot prosecute. Next time you see someone, please call the club office and we can notify the game warden to prosecute.

I just left a VM to learn more about the boat in the weeds. That could in deed be the missing boat.

Thanks
