Fished Waterboo Lake yesterday with my wife and had a great time. Left the house about 11:00 a.m. in the middle of a pouring rain. The rain stopped before we hit Sanger, but the clouds hung around to make a perfect day of fishing. This has to be one of the most scenic properties we've visited. Lake is very clear with visibility at 3-4 feet. Grass is dense around the shoreline out 20 ft from shore with large patches also in the middle of the lake.
We caught around 25 fish each in the afternoon. Best bait was a 2 1/2" Pop-R, but a tiny torpedo worked just as well. Also did well on baby brush hogs and senkos in watermelon and June bug colors. Didn't catch many large fish, but we sure enjoyed the numbers and the top-water bite.

Dave,
Thanks for posting. We visited Waterboo about 3 weeks ago and the lake was very low. They caught 8-10 inches of rain and the lake is in much better shape. Glad you had a good time.
