Water is 3-4 foot low. Launching boat was way more difficult than usual. Ants had decided to nest in the back end, I was able to remove most of them but a hundred or so stayed on the boat to keep me company. They ended up biting more often than the fish, and after I few hours I decided they were not the best fishing partner and called it. Fish finder showed lots of fish suspended.
2 caught, 2 returned. Both healthy bass, short and stocky like the majority of fish at NE Lake Athens

I fished out there few weeks ago when we had break in heat and some cooler weather smoked them pretty good on topwaters. Was really low when I went I just bank fished was worried about launching my boat and getting it back on trailer by myself. That is a very good lake I think lot of members over look. I did and have always done good on that bank directly across from the launch….ill get back down there once water level comes up a little
