We were lucky with overcast skies and a slight breeze to keep us cool until noon, when it jumped to 101 degrees. Caught six 2.5 to 3.5lb bass before 10:00am on orange and oil spill sinkos and olive crawdaddies with largest taken on the east side of the pond along the weed line. Another 20 from 1/2 lb to 1.5 lbs (with 6 removed under 14") in all parts of the large pond. Late morning fish were taken under the pier and on the east side of the spillway. Water is clear but quite a lot of weed cover on all banks except the south west shore. Great day of fishing despite the intense heat.
