Rolled out to Rock Chimney and arrived just after sunrise. Met two guests (introduced them to the PWF experience) and commenced fishing from both the bank and shared the lone kayak until 3PM.

Conditions pretty much as described in John's recent report. Water temp 71F, slight shifting breeze from the north putting a little riffle on the open water. Found most of the algae and submerged grass on the south bank, adjacent to the dam and in the two creeks. Algae was less pronounced on most of the north bank. Water clarity ~2ft.

Between the three of us we collectively landed 50 LMB (no other species were encountered and no fish were culled) and lost another 8 or so. Had three decent size fish break off once they wrapped around the local bottom cover. Largest landed was ~4.75 lbs (20"). Had a couple between 17-19" and the rest pretty much between 14 - 17". Only a handful of dinks. Very healthy post spawn fish that put up a good fight. Most bites occurred within 20' of the bank outside of any fibrous algae. Good action along north and south banks with some success along the dam and in the south creek. No action in the north creek.

All success came on three lures (with the barbs crimped), chartreuse/white spinner bait, chartreuse/white chatterbait with a greenish/caffeine paddletail trailer, and a weightless, t-rig worm cut tail (6" red) or green pumpkin stickbait. Very limited success with a shallow running sq bill. Tried just about everything else with no action.

Mr. Stanley stopped by and visited with us for a while. Always good to see him!
