My brother and I fished Monday, April 23, from 6:45am until 1:30pm.  We caught 54 bass, with a 6lb 2oz biggie.  About 12 were culls.  My first cast, before sunup, got a 3.5 pounder on a white buzz.  Buzz baits (and Zara spooks) worked only so-so after that.  Lizards and grubtails worked well, and we didn't try cranks or worms.

Did they spray-kill the water vegetation?  The lake is so much bigger now!  We caught two massive bluegills as well.  Nice bonus!

We have not sprayed the vegetation since last summer. We did spray the pads in the back. The vegetation has died back from the winter cold. Moreover, we spent about $1500 on fertilizer, which reduces water visibility (light) thus inhibiting plant growth.

This is such a great lake.
