We fished Twin Lakes (primarily the East) on Saturday, April 14th. As you probably noticed, a big front came in Friday night. Temps in the low 50’s with a 19-22 mph wind out of the north, gusting to 32. Nevertheless we did our best while pin-wheeling around the lake and/or stopping for bank fishing. Water temp was 64* and visibility over 3’. Lake is full, healthy, and beautiful. Wonderful habitat at this lake. Landed 17 up to 4-2. Mostly on green pumpkin lizards and a few on paddle tail swimbaits. They did not want to chase any baits – none on spinnerbaits or cranks; then again the new weed growth with the suspended “snot grass” did make any treble hooks baits too troublesome. Overall, although incredibly blustery, enjoyed spending the day outside and fishing.
