Took Friday morning off 4/13 to try out BlackJack for the first time this year.  A fracking crew has a water pumping station on the east end of the dam, but it's no problem at all crossing the water pipe because they have a flat metal section crossing the road.  The water level looks normal, about 12" below the dock level.  Water was pretty clear and fairly warm.  The weeds are already pretty thick, especially on the north end and around the perimeter.  Air temp was about 70, Wind was about 15 MPH, which wasn't too tough to deal with in a fishing tube.  I really, really wanted top water to work, so I stuck with it a little longer than I should have, but they wanted nothing to do with it.  After an hour, I switched to TR worms, and caught my first fish on a motor oil power worm.  I tried other things, but that's literally the only thing I caught fish on.  Come to think of it, that's the only thing I even got a bite on.  Caught 11 under 14" and one big bluegill.  Three over 14", but not by much.  Most were caught within 10' from edge of the weeds.  Fish seemed healthy, but smaller than last year.  It was a great day to get out and had an enjoyable day on the water.
