4 of us fished Dogwood Lakes Estates West on Saturday, 4/7/18 and Sunday, 4/8/18. Temp was 44, wind at over 30 mph and rain all day Saturday gave us extremely cold conditions. We caught about 30 fish, almost all quite small. 4 fish 2-3 lbs. 16 small fish were released live in the netted tank. Another 6 were harvested but died. Sunday conditions were better (no rain), but still pretty cold and wind was up and down. Fishing all but turned off with only 10 fish caught. 5 small fish were released live in the netted tank. A couple over 16", but nothing big and a few were under size, harvested, but died. We did not see any beds or fish on beds. Probably post spawn. Beautiful property and under better circumstances must be a great fishing spot. Got to watch a full grown Coyote come out of the woods and chase the domestic Geese. The Geese made it to the water before the Coyote could have Pate for breakfast! We will give it another try when the weather conditions are better.
