We launched the boat at about 8 AM in spite of our better judgment. Hurricane gust type winds (maybe not quite that bad) is no time to be fishing unless you have not set the hook lately and just have to catch fish. Air temp was 44 wind chill temp 36 - white capping lake made it tough to maneuver around. We are just not good anchor up fishermen, tried fishing in stationary locations a couple of times but it produced little action, all the bites were the result of being on the move........…....with that said we burned through/drained 3 batteries in about 3 hours fighting that wind with 23 fish to account for. Culled 10 of the 23 with the biggest around 4 pounds. The fish looked to be in good shape. This lake has zero protection from the wind..........there were lots of weed/grass growth just below surface around the perimeter and pretty much the whole north end of the lake. With that being said we were limited on fishable areas using the trolling motors - should have tried walking the edges with grass frog baits….................highly suggest fishing scum frogs or something weedless to get those grass bites. I truly feel like had we been able to fish all day without fighting the wind we would have caught 50 plus fish. Looks like everyone fishing the various club lakes had the same challenge fighting the wind and cold. The water at Black Jack was warm and the air was cold so there was a constant cloud of fog coming off the lake top which was weird looking.................ready to go back and give it another try soon. Love this lake....................

Phillip and any guys that fished this past weekend, my hats off to ya.  Y'all are WARRIORS!   I'm ready to fight some fish. All I've done all spring is work like a madman. BUT I can feel a lil flippin action flu coming on soon
