On Sunday afternoon, 4/8 member Mike Svoboda & I fished Pecan Gap.  A big cold front went through on Saturday and really dropped the temperatures over the weekend.  Sunday morning was cold so we did not get on the lake until 3:00 PM.  Still pretty cold then, but not much of a wind, thank goodness.  Water temp was 56-57 degrees with overcast skies.  We caught 4 nice fish.  The largest was 6 pounds.  She had already spawned out & was a little beat up, but a quality fish.  Next biggest was 5 1/2 pounds.  This one was fat and also a quality fish.  The last two were 2 1/2 and 2 3/4.  No harvest fish.  We tried everything from spinner baits, deep diving cranks baits, Senkos, Texas rigged flukes, but only caught them on a square bill crank bait.  This lake is laid out extremely well, with lots of brush piles, rock piles, humps and trees.  This is a great property.  The owner came down and talked with us for a bit.  Provided details about how the lake is laid out and where to fish.  Was a pleasure speaking with him.  At 6;30 it started to get colder, so we packed it up, but we had a great time.

The owner said normal to up a bit. Water clarity was pretty good. Would say about 3 to 3 1/2 feet.
