Fished Post Oak with John Shepard on March 6th. We both fish from the same model of kayak and hit the water around 7:30. I was getting multiple hits on a white/chartreuse ribbit frog, but no solid hook-ups. I switched to a shallow running white crank and caught several in 2-3 ft along the bank opposite the dam. John was having success with a chartreuse chatter bait. I had some success with that lure in the same area and into the inlet area. Neither John nor I had any success banging lures off sunken timber. Also not much success along the dam.

After a good lunch break in Bryan, we returned and I started running a medium running crank toward the same end of the lake but about 30-50 yards from the bank. On several of my initial casts I hooked shells in a large area. I finished the day in that area. My total was 18 and most in the 2-3 lb range. I think John had over 20 and sent me photo of a 6 lb after I left.
