Fished the main lake Tuesday. The lake is in excellent condition, with clear water and full. The entry is dry and a small amount of drainage crossing the dam to the West Lake. Mr Birt showed me another entry to the West Lake ( the smaller one ) if the drainage seemed too wet or muddy. Take one of the other dams across to the other field and drive thru the hill side.He took me on his 4 wheeler and it was a clear and easy path. ( a tree limb must be cut that is hanging over the dam and he is going to do that.)

Caught 15 bass and 7 crappie. The wind picked up and I was never able to position my kayak tp fish after 11:00. I looked it up today and to was gusting at 23 to 28 mph from 1:30 to 5:00.

Fish are active

Thanks for the report, Joe. Sorry the wind drove you off the water, but it is March in Texas. Was the water clear enough for you to see any beds? How's the vegetation in both lakes? I'm thinking about hitting them next Wednesday, and hoping the forecast wind (ENE @ 6 mph) holds true. Thanks, Tom

Beds were visible and the vegetation was growing around the edges with some away from the bank but no problem.I have been looking at next Wednesday myself but another member that wants to go can not make up his mind.So he will miss out on this lake. This has been my second trip to Twin this year and both were very good.
