Lake level as with most in north Texas was way up, the rancher said the water level rose close to 8’ in the past week or so, that coupled with muddy water conditions made for a slow day. We landed three very healthy fish, two that were 3.3 and 3.8 pounds. All three fish were as short and tall as they were long, so the previous reports were spot on. The wind prevented us from fishing a lot of our tackle box at least until late in the day, mist action was on rattle traps, when we could get out of the wind we fished senkos, red shad, and everything under the sun, they just wouldn’t play ball..weather was beautiful so who can complain about spending the day on the water with your two boys and wife!
