Fished from 8:45 to 2PM (SW wind) out of my kayak. Slow with no obvious pattern. Fished the entire lake. Started working the tree stumps in the flooded creek channel, then moved to points, several banks, the bridge and dam. Soft bite on slow retrieved C-rig green brush hog, 1/2oz Blk/Blue jig with a june bug hula stick, and also some success on a t-rig chartreuse/blk flake finess worm. No luck with creature presentations or suspending jerk bait. No luck on the brush pile. Caught 7 LMB.

Stopped for lunch and stowed kayak in back of my truck before the arrival of the anticipated front. Proceeded to fish t-rig chartreuse/blk flake finess worm and also 1/2oz Blk/Blue jig with a june bug hula stick from the north bank and dam. Action picked up fan casting from the shore. Caught 9 LMB between 2:15 and 4:30PM (front passed through at 3:30PM). Bite was stronger then the morning but promptly stopped ~45min after the front arrived.

Total for the day 16 LMB (one dink, all of the others between 14 - 18"). Caught 2 that measured 18" (~3.3lbs).

Great to be out of the house and on the water!

Cheers,

Bob
