Good friend Jeff and I arrived at Indian Hollow at day break (0730) departed a dusk (about 1700). Conditions became extremely windy, up to 30 knots sustained at times. Water temp in the low 60s, good visibility. Some timber and vegetation. Due to the wind we spent a lot of time in the two coves on the west end of the lake. Caught 80 fish, culled 44. Biggest fish 5.2 with several 2-4 pounds. Silver and Crawfish rattle traps, Jeff had a lot of success with a large swim bait and a Texas rigged green trick tail with chartreuse tip (5.2 caught on this worm). Caught a few on wacky rigged Senkos. Boat ramp is quite steep and we recommend 4 Wheel Drive launch vehicle to be on the safe side. We were certainly catching, not fishing.

Hi Jack,
Thanks for removing the 44 fish. That is a great harvest day. We keep records for each lake. We have harvested about 360 fish at Indian Hollow this year. Our goal is 600 for 2017. While we have not hit our goal, removing 360 fish makes a difference.
44 fish harvested is the most for this lake this year. Joe Smith removed 35 in a trip this summer, but you ousted Joe. Thanks again.
Harvesting small fish at lakes were we request it, makes a big difference. It reduces the number of predators (bass) and opens the food chain (bait fish) to feed fewer bass, thus allowing more forage for the remaining bass. These fish now have more to eat and thus will gain in size.
