I knew i was in trouble when i took the dog out Friday night, looked up and saw clear skies and a full moon. BlackJack was slow. No pattern at all. A few fish on each lure. A couple frogs, a couple on t-rigged/whacky senko, couple on crank, and a couple on Keitech swimbait. All over the lake except the far end which is covered in grass. Lake was highest I’ve seen it. The tree by the pier fell into the water. Gusty, sunny, and 85 degrees.

Andrew,

Sounds like my last two trips to BlackJack; no pattern at all.  Plus, I've seen few of the 5-6 lb bass that I often caught there last year.

Same here when I fished Monday. Caught 1 culled 1. No pattern; no top water; no brush piles.

John,

Agreed. Feels different out there too. Not as many birds. Not as much surface action. Full moon or not its been sssllloooowwww. I used to get a bite every other cast between the pier and the dam but the last time out I got one bite, pretty deep, on a crank bait. Might move to Fox Lake for a bit to see how we do. Feels like there has been some good action there.
