The weather forecast called for winds 5-10 MPH out of the South, it could not have been more wrong. They were 20-25 out of the South most of the morning. I got on the lake about 8:00 and caught a couple on a chug bug early on and then the fishing slowed down and the wind picked up. Tried every type of lure except a spinner bait. Caught a couple on a Texas Rigged senko and a couple more on a crankbait near the island. I stayed until the wind literally blew me and my dragging anchor off the water.
This is a really nice looking property, very well designed by whoever built it. Lots of deep water, timber, points etc. The fish just weren't on today. Caught 6 total with 4 of those under 14" and removed.
