Perfect fall day, 70's , light wind, clear blue sky.  Water stained but fine. Fished around the dock and the dam from 1 to 5pm. Quite a bit of vegetation on the side from dock to the dam. Fishing was slow, used Zoom 6" plum worms on 5.0 hook, caught 3, estimate of weights, 1 - 2 pounds, 1 - 1 1/2 pounds, 1 -  less than 14 inches removed. Missed a few others. Roy Cotton

Roy,

Did you fish any of the brush piles marked by white PVC pipes? That is a wonderful lake, when I was there last I caught a lot of fish on Strike King 1.5 sq bills, 10" Power Worms, 5" Big Bite Tiki Sticks, and the best part, yellow magics. My recommendation for your next trip, would be to start out with a good moving bait. Work a Square bill, Spinnerbait/ chatterbait, rattle trap etc. on the bank and over the brush piles. This is a great way to key in on where the fish are, and what they are relating to. Afterwards, break out the TX rig, Drop Shot, Carolina Rig, Shakey Head, etc. and work those brush piles over, and the dock too. Then in the early morning and late evening use the 4 lber special, the Yellow Magic ( I had the most success around the dock and the shorelines on either side of the dock. ).

Thank you,

Cole i did not. i have seen the pole stick ups before and figured they marked introduced brush piles. I like to fish the simple slow solitude part of these ponds with worms, i have 5 tackle boxes full of stuff collected over 55 years of fishing, Simple with a minimum amount of effort is my motto. I am never disappointed with my trips even if i don't get a single hit, its a good day just being out solo. my tackle box is a little round plastic container  i carry in my pocket with a few spare worms a few spare 5.0 hooks, and some slip sinkers. I need that in case i get hung up and have to break the line, or a fish pulls the worm off the hook, which they often do.  The spares keep me from having to walk back to the car. I do keep a one hook white  buzz bait handy on another rod in the car in case i want to top water fish late. Over my years at PWF,  i have quit using a lot of treble hook lures, i have had a few of those other top waters swallowed by big bass when they hit. Release without harm is also my motto. I will sling a worm at those poles in the water next time i am there. Looking forward to heading out again soon, Roy
