Made a last minute decision to fish Wednesday, Oct. 18.  Hadn't been out in a while, so was really looking forward to wetting a hook.  On the water from 2:30 - 6:30.  Spent 15 min. fishing off the dock, no takers.  No action on south dam or east banks starting out.  Wind was blowing from the south and moving me pretty fast.  Due to the time constraints, I decided to throw just a few lures.  Most all the action came anchored on the west side out of the wind in the cove with the big tree. All were caught on soft plastics: T/rigged zoom blue/black creature bait from 4:30 - 6:00.  Caught 10 in all, with 5 harvested. Biggest was just under 3 lbs on the east side using a t/rigged green pumpkin senko.  No fish on crankbaits or topwaters. No fish from any of the marked brush piles.

This was only my second time to fish here, and first time from a boat.  I really like this property.  I own a Pelican Bass Raider, so I was right at home using the BR here.  The water was like glass as the sun started to go down and the wind died.  Very peaceful, nice afternoon on the water.  Convenient location, 45 minutes from home.  Hope to return again soon and catch some big 'uns.
