Wow. Tough sledding. On the water at 7:13.  Air temp at the dock 44 degrees.  Winds out out the north at a steady 15-18 miles, gusts to 20.  Didn't know the water and it was still dark so had to poke around for 20 minutes.  First fish landed at 8:25ish almost 3 lbs.  Thought I might get into some bigger ones.  Didn't happen today.  Caught 7 more total. 4 unders and a few more in the 2-3 lb range.  Tough to hold any spot in the wind.  Right around noon at the dock when I quit the wind set down and it looked like a perfect day.  Of course I'm a rookie bass fisherman…...but I'm blamin' this one on the north wind ha ha.

I have plenty of excuses, and use them often!

Let me know if you want to borrow one.

Welcome to the club; hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Thanks James.  I have been working on my "excuse bag" but would always love a few new ones.

I am going to try to get out often and my best day will always be a Monday right now….so if you have the tolerance for a rook and want a partner willing to learn just holler.
