The National Weather Service reported over 8" of rain in Clarksville so far in July.Based on the water level at Alysha the rain mostly missed this ranch. The lake is in good shape but a little low and the clarity is good for this lake.A little murky but ok for about 24".Access  is solid and dry..

Fishing was very good.Another member and I fished Tuesday morning and caught 88 bass and 4 crappie. 31 of the bass were under 14" and removed. The rest were good solid fish but nothing over 3 1/4 lbs, just fun fish to catch. Most everything we used worked. 4 and 5 inch yum dingers tx rigged with a 1/16 oz weight, and 1/8 oz weight.Trick worms and wacky worms.Watermelon seed, watermelon red, pumpkin, bruised banana and red bug. A small in- line silver/gold spinner ( trout spinner ) used very late accounted for 3 of the crappie, ten large bream  and over a dozen bass. We do not try any crank baits but we could have because the grass would not have been a problem.

The fish were along the grass lines and also out in open water away from the shore.

This place is a true sleeper. Great Lake to teach less experienced anglers. If it was 1 hour from Dallas instead of 2 hours it would be booked solid. Great cabin and place to go and get away from it all.
