My son and I hit the lake at 6:30 AM.  Weather was cloudy and windy, but warm and humid - around 80 degrees.  We first fished the entire perimeter of the lake using frogs, spinner bait and lipless rattle crank bait.  Caught 2 on frogs, but missed at least 12 strikes.  Caught 4 on lipless crank bait.  Went to deep diving crank baits and fished middle of lake starting from upper end diagonal from boat launch and letting wind push us back to dam and boat launch area.  Broke for lunch at 11:30 having now caught 22.  Back on lake at 2 PM using same strategy with diving crank baits. Finished fishing at 4:30 having caught 40, with most around 1.5 - 2 pounds and having landed two very nice 5 pounders.  Great day, great memories.  Easy lake to fish, which is good for us.  We will definitely be back.
