Fingerling
Two of us fished May 8. Cloudy, windy and mild. We had little success with top water, trying Pop R, buzz and frogs, so we tried swims and caught just a few. We figured out, mid-day, that the fish wanted slow, deep swim baits. We caught some good fish on the bottom, most in about 8 feet of water, although it varied some. We caught a total of 45, with 11 culls. Biggest bass weighed in at 4 lbs 8 oz. We met the property owner, a nice man. There are two good boats, and both have foot-controlled trolling motors, but the foot control is difficult to use. Very nice place and very well maintained.
