Started the morning with light winds and temps in the low 50's. Steam on the water and top water bite was pretty good. Problem was as in someone's previous report, the bite was not aggressive and had 8-9 come off with first jump due to poor hook set. Shad began breaking surface so changed to rattle trap and picked up fish scatter over submerged moss in 6'-8' depth. After catching a crappie or two and the wind picking up switched to 1/8 ounce rattle trap looking for crappie. Ended the morning with total of 9 bass released with only two less than 14", largest pushing 4#s, 6 crappie harvested, probably 20-30 large brim released.
Water temp- 70
Clarity - 3-4 feet except in creek
Moss is still below surface
Met the owner, Mr. Magee, as I was packing up to leave. As with other owners super nice guy. He told me plans were to add some additional grass carp and tilapia this year. With the improvement I have personally seen since first fishing the lake, this added management could be icing on the cake.

I hope it's a minimal amount of grass carp. The grass is the only form of cover in that lake.
