This was my wife and I first time to fish this beautiful lake.  We started about 4:30 that evening.  It was never crazy fishing, but steady.  The thing we loved the most was every bass we caught was in th3 3-6# range.  We only caught one small fish and even he was 14 1/2".  Ended up with 18 nice bass

We've fished this property twice now and both times we caught around 12-15 total fish. The lake has some quality chunky fish in it that's for sure. Just be prepared for them to run strait for the timber. Curious, how was your top water bite? I have found this lake to be the toughest of all for top water.

Billy, just wait for the yellowish algae mats to form and hit those with a hollow body frog. They'll attack it!

Awesome! Thank you for this tip. We will definitely give it a try. When (time of year) does the algae mats start to grow there?
