I fished JerMar with my youngest son from noon to near sundown. We had partly cloudy skies, temps in the low 50s and cold winds 10-15MPH. Not my favorite fishing weather but my time with my son on the water was priceless. As we ere texting our plans back and forth, he said he "didn't want to miss a chance to fish with Dad." That meant more to me than fishing.

Water temp was 55 when we started and 56 by 5PM. I caught one on a Magnum Fluke, one of my new favorites thanks to Craig Brown ay Marshall 10-10 Ranch. I asked my son if he wanted one - Nah - I'm good.) I caught two more and he said, "You still have an extra of those?" Ha ha - sure. We didn't catch anything Big fish Contest worthy, or even a personal best for him, buy we caught about 15 of these:

All were healthy and scrappy. We harvested 3 small ones and released 12. The largest was 4.5 pounds on a Magnum Fluke. All were caught on Magnum Flukes except about 3 on Senkos. By the way, some day I'll fish Jermar when it's not windy but this wasn't that day, ha ha. All in all a good afternoon.

..."didn't want to miss a chance to fish with Dad." That meant more to me than fishing.

Amen to that Larry!
