I checked the weather two days before making my reservation, things looked good. I rechecked the night before going and the projected temps were 10 degrees lower than originally expected. How do you miss a major cold front two days out. After reading someone else's report I did bring my gloves that came in handy in the 34 degree morning.

The lake is in great shape with good water clarity and visibility to three feet.Caught 61 bass of which 29 were removed. Most of the smaller fish were in the 12 to 13" size and healthy. The others were mostly 2 1/2 lbs. Two were 3 1/4 and one 5 lbs.Everything was on a lizard or fluke and 80 % were along the shore line. I did not try a spinner bait or crank bait,

The lack of accuracy with the forecast is frustrating to me, especially when trying to take my son.

Thanks for the report Joe.  Sounds like a "sore thumb" day for sure.  Any particular area of the lake produce best for you?  My next trip there, I was going to focus on the timbered area (east?) part of the lake.

It is a large lake and I fish from a kayak so I only fish part of the lake. My best area was the timbered cove on the northeast end both sides. The middle cove did not produce anything for me but the points at the opening did well. The east side of the west cove along the reed line did well also. The west side of that cove do so so. I also tried the west side of the lake accross from the dock and headed north and not a single strike until I reached the opening of the west cove.

I would expect that the east cove towards the dam and the cove west of the dam would have done well but I never got to them.
