Fingerling
My son and I fished Triple J on 2/25, the day after a serious cold front, where air temps had dropped 30 degrees. Started fishing at daybreak it was 37 degrees, but the water was way warmer than that. We caught 7 bass, culled 2, all on TX rigged power worms. That's 7 fish more than I thought we'd catch! We started out with top water and spinner baits, but no luck. Finally got a hit with the TRPW, and never looked back. I've never been fishing after the temperature dropped that much, and based on past experience, I was really surprised we caught anything. I bet this property is really good fishing on a warm spring day. One of the bass looked heavy with eggs, and had a bit of a frayed tail. It seems early, but maybe they're on the front end of the spawn. We only caught one dink, and the rest were 1 to 4 lbs., and very healthy. It's always a good day to be out fishing, and both of us avoided getting skunked, so I'm a happy camper.
