Fished this new addition yesterday Feb 15th AM. What a super addition for those around the San Antonio area. This lake has great facilitites, lots of standing timber and shoreline structure. Got off to a cold start at 39 degrees air temp. I started with soft plastics around the timber and couldn't raise a fish but moved over to the dam and immediately started getting hook ups. Lost several to start with and still am not sure why but soon picked up 5. All healthy and fat. Could only fish about 3 hours total as I had a meeting in the afternoon. Ended up with 7 all together but none were 14" or less. Largest about 3.5 lbs. There are two gates here. One is the coded entry gate and inside that is a second gate that is automatic from both sides. When coming out, couldn't get the gate to open no matter what I tried. Manual operation didn't work either. Called the club and, as usual, Keri, Seth and company did a great job. Contacted the land owner but he couldn't get there for another hour so I went ahead and pulled the pin connecting the arm and the gate and got out that way, squeezed back throught he gate to hook it up again. Good to know if it happens again. On the way home got a call from Steve Alexander to make sure i made it out. Outstanding service and support from the staff at PWF. This is now my new favorite lake and Steve is working on even more around the San Antonio area so really looking forward to that.

Doug. Thanks fir the report. I have to agree with you about this property. Still need to fish Gallant Elms since it was closed for hunting. Let me know if you ever want to fish together.
