This is my first time to post so hope I do alright. My wife and I went to beaver lake on Saturday February 11th. on a blustery day. Just had a surgical procedure done 4 days before so didn't feel like messing with the bass buster so opted for bank fishing. Started with a gold spinner bait for about 45 min. - nada. Switched to a watermelon senko with a chartreuse tail. Caught a dink first cast. After 30 more minutes—zero!! Finally decided to try a red rattletrap fishing it fast to stay above the vegetation. Bam!!! 4 pounder!! Fought like crazy especially wrestling him through all the weeds. Landed him took some pictures and celebrated. After that it was one fish after another for about an hour. Most came from the left side of the trestle looking thing in the water. All in all around 20 fish. A bunch in the 1to 2 pound range one 3 and of course the 4. A really great day and so convenient to where I live in Weatherford. Looking forward to coming back soon and might bring the boat next time. This is a great place to introduce a kid to fishing. Easy access and lots of fish!!
