Took a couple buddies to Timber Lake on Friday. Got on the water about 1. Fished til dark. Caught 43 mostly on squarebills and chatterbaits. The water is about 30-36" low but the fish are beautiful and fat! I just thought it was breezy on Friday until we got on the water Saturday morning. The wind was pin balling us off the trees. Pretty scary stuff. We toughed it out and caught exactly 43 more. 86 fish in a day and a half. Culled 20 and 4 or 5 were dinks.

Any trouble launching a boat at timber?

Jerry, we launched an 18 ft Skeeter with a half ton Chevy 4x4. No problems. Stay away from the dam side of the ramp, there’s a good size rut over there. The landowner has a big pile of rock beside the ramp but it has not been spread as of Saturday evening.
