Cold front on the way so I figured I would see if the fish were still biting at Triple J this afternoon before the weather turned. Yep they were. Different pattern and different lure. After trying several cranks I tied on my one and only Strike King Chartreuse Shad Flat Side. The wind had picked up so I drifted from the dam north towards the duck blind. On the first drift I boated 5 fish. I repeated the pattern and ended the day with 24 bass, 9 under 14" They are strong and mean, 2 biggest were 18" caught at mid lake on the west side. The trick was to crank and then stop to a slow pull, they nailed it when it slowed down. At 4 pm the bass quit biting and the crappie started. On the same bait I caught 13 crappie…....none under 12 inches and several 15 inch barn doors. One weighed 2.56 lbs. To bad its gonna cool off again cause the fishing was hot.

Thanks for the report, Paul. I like that lake.
How was the vegetation? I'd guess the freezes killed it back.
