Never thought I'd see it at blackjack but I came up empty. Nothing going. 4 hours and one bite. I usually look for herons to find baitfish. No herons. No action on the surface. Totally dead. Tried deep and shallow, slow and fast, plastics, crank, spinner, jigs, frog. Nada. All I can think of is the colder weather the last couple of days slowed them down.

I've had to work hard for every fish there all winter except one day when I hit the right pattern for just a couple of hours.  They haven't been in the places that I found them last year and there hasn't been much visible feeding action for quite a while.  Hopefully some extended warm weather will break the pattern.

It was hard on post oak the same day. No activity. Finally resorted to drifting across the lake with a carolina rig to catch some smaller fish.
