Slot Fish
Expected to be fishing clearing skies; partly cloudy on arrival with clear skies all afternoon. Instead, I didn't see even a glimpse of the sun at all until 2:45 and dealt with moderate SSW winds and periods of mist. The fish weren't in much of a biting mood and it took 6 hours to land a dozen. Most were 16" with one at 21". The bass were scattered all over and the only pattern seemed to be fast-moving small baits. Starting to see some females fat with eggs but no signs of bedding that I could see. Overall, not bad for January.
