After fishing all day Friday at Hat and Star, I woke up Saturday morning with a few aches and pains.  I hooked up to my boat and headed from Emory toward Twin Lakes.  The further south I went, the foggier it got.  From Canton on south, I was driving 45 mph or so because I could barely see.  I arrived at Twin Lakes about 7, and good thing I had been there before, because I'm not sure I could have found the west lake in that fog.  But, fog can be great for fishing; the extra cover it provides is usually good for fishing.  And this morning was no exception.  The bass really liked my yellow magic.  Between 7 and 11, I caught 25, with 22 of them coming on the YM.  Then, around 11, the warm front passed through and brought some strong winds with it and drove the fog away.  Between 11 and 4, I dodged a few rain showers, but the YM bite turned off.  I tried everything, but could only manage 5 small ones while fishing the old creek channel with a texas rig.  After 4, I boated 5 more on a watermelon fluke, before a real cloud made me load the boat and head home.

So, all total I landed 35, with the largest at 4 pounds.  It was a wonderful day for mid-January.  I only fished the west lake, but both lakes look just about full.  Water temps ranged from 58 to 61, and there are very few weeds there now.  They are starting to grow, but nothing to speak of.
