Fished the east lake on Saturday the 17th. I expected a strong bite before the cold front arrived.  Despite the howling wind, I boated 23 bass in 4 hours with the best 5 going around 27 pounds. Fish were very healthy and mean. I had planned on hitting each lake for a couple of hours, but, the action was good enough on the east lake that it outweighed loading and launching the boat again by myself. Moving baits were the ticket. I only caught 1 fish on plastics.
