Wind Improves the Bite at BlackJack

I fished Blackjack Wednesday afternoon and landed 28.  The largest was 7.4# and most were 3-3.5#s.  There was a nice breeze ( and some clouds) all afternoon and this seemed to improve the bite as compared to many of the flat calm outings I've had recently.  Unfortunately, there was no topwater action despite many small frogs.  I did equally well on a slowly fished wacky worm and on a fast-moving crankbait.  There is little to no submerged vegetation evident and the water level is down over a foot, leaving a muddy margin around much of the lake for bank fishermen.

Sounds like a nice afternoon of fishing! I'm headed there Tuesday afternoon. Any spots better than others? Were you bank or boat?

Andrew,

Sorry for the delay in replying.  I fished the bank and had my best success between the dam and the pier and on the opposite side about 1/3 of the way away from the dam.
