Fingerling
This is one of the first lakes I fished after joining PWF in 2013. I remember trip very well because of the huge grass carp swimming on the surface that looked like a submarine. Plus being able to fill a cooler with under 14" fish.
Got on the water on 10/22 with the sun just below the horizon and a fog on the lake. Thick enough could not see any bank after pushing off and getting about 50 feet out. Worked my way around to the dam and picked up a small dink and on 14-15" on top water. Once around to bank across from launch the bait fish started going crazy. I less than 15 minutes able to catch 8-9 in 2-4# range. All were out from bank and chasing bait fish through scattered and submerged moss. On one hook-up I thought I might have that 8+ reported a few weeks ago. Drag was going out and not able to see through the fog when it surfaced. Finally got to the boat and ended up being a double on one bait.
After the fog lifted topwater bite stopped but able to keep getting hit on swim baits and cranks. Finished the morning with 15 in 2-4# range and only 2 under 14".
