We recently electrofished Cleburne Six O Ranch. I had not electofished or fished the lake in over 2 years and had forgot how awesome this lake is. The bones (timber, humps, points, deep water) of this lake are in the upper 10% of all our club lakes.
For those long term members you will remember how skinny, almost frightenly underweight these bass looked at Six O Ranch. After 5 years of harvesting, fertilization and 20,000 threadfin shad the weights of the fish have gone from 70% to 95% of their relative weight. Much like the Body Mass Index we use for humans, fish have a chart called a relative weight chart. Fish in the 90% to 100% are considered in good shape. 80% to 89% underweight, 70% to 79% you have a problem.. Only lakes where there is aggressive harvest and or lots of additional forage is being pumped into the lake will you see weights consistently above 100%.
We pulled up on one spot and shocked 6 or more bass that were 4 to 6 lbs all bunched up together in one spot. I can't recall ever doing that before.
I forgot how much I loved that lake. Thank you Six O Ranch for being awesome!
Two of the many 4lb+ fish we caught. Most were 90% to 100% of relative weight.
An 8.3 lb beauty. She was 105% of relative weight

I love this lake, next to Clifton it was the one I fished the most. I had taken another club member (Steve S. (RIP)) numerous times to Six - O. He always caught one if not two or three in the 22 to 24 inch length. I always had a good time watching him catch a big one and guiding him to all my special spots. The fish have definitely gotten a lot healthier over the last four or five years. It is also nice having the pontoon boat to spread out our gear. Thank you.
