Fished the morning Saturday, 10/8. Got out there a little after 7:30. There was quite a bit of grass in 2 pockets of the lake and up by the dam, but not enough to put a damper on the day. The wind wasn't cooperating but we still managed. Started the morning throwing top water, but no luck. I didn't, however, give the top waters much of my time. I quickly changed to a blue gill pattern lipless crank bait and caught 2 on 3 casts. We then moved down towards the dam throwing a sexy shad crank. I threw it right on the grass line and as soon as it hit, the biggest fish of the day hits it on the top! Fish was a little over 3lbs. Stayed the rest of the morning around the grass at the dam throwing worms. That's where and how we caught most of our fish (15 total).

Great report,  Bryan,  I may try to get down there later this month.  Triple J used to be a great crankbait lake, but the weeds have gotten much heavier in the last 3 years, so senkos and topwater have been more effective.
