Frustrating day. Started off raining. So I waited until it passed and headed out around 8am. I should have stayed in bed. I've never seen so much weed coverage on this lake? I tried my usual for lakes covered in weeds. i.e. Clymer. Using Senkos and tubes with no weight and frogs. I couldn't buy a bite. So, I switched over to fly fishing for sunfish. That turned out to be quite fun. Then practiced casting to the numerous schools of Tilapia. This was actually great fly casting practice. You can spot the white ones a good distance out and throw to them. They were pretty much everywhere.  I couldn't get them to take the fly. Not sure if they even will. But fun anyway. Then managed to drop my iPhone in the water,  and on the way home the front windshield fell out on my restored 1974 Toyata FJ40 Landcrusier! Thank God it fell into the cab and not out on the road. Look like the adhesive came loose on the seal. So the day wound up being extremely frustrating and expensive. At no fault of the lake or club. Just one of those days. Should have stayed in bed.  But better than a day at the office.
