A couple of friends and I fished JerMar this morning. We arrived at the lake about sun rise, a beauty bye the bye, and hit the water. The water temperature at 82 was warmer the the breeze cooled air, nice but that would change. Very clear water visibility and lots of weeds. Began with  frogs over the mat of weeds with some success and lots of fun. More hits then hook-ups and then began a search for a real workable pattern. We found none. We caught fish on a presentation and nothing. Tried a different approach and caught a fish or two then nothing. Spent the morning using different baits, from cranks to plastic deep to shallow and had a good day, but the fish were really spread out. All but about three or four "dinks' were in that solid 3.5 lb range and strong….... man "time on the water'.... can't beat it! Well its time to go, but we stopped to fish the smaller ponds. Threw plastics in a couple of them….. nothing, when "mister reluctant', "I'll just sit this one out" strolls up. Wouldn't you just know it!!!!! First cast a solid 6 plus. That ones back in the water and on cast number two….... sure thing an 8 or better. You gotta be kidding me! We fish this pond with a vengeance after that and sure enough…... nothing. His two casts, his two fish and nothing. Well, good for him….. he's buying lunch. LOL

That's a great story John. I fish Jermar all the time but have not fished any of the small ponds. I have heard that's where the bigger ones are. Will have to give it a shot.
