My 11 yo son and I fished for 4 hours in the AM on 8/6. Beautiful lake, tons of structure and depth. First thing we noticed was that the lake looked to be down a couple of feet. The second thing we noticed was the water was extremely clear - the clearest water I've ever seen south of Table Rock. Throw in mostly calm, hot, cloudless conditions and it was tough. We threw senkos, rattle traps, texas rigged plastics, spinnerbaits, etc., and didn't catch anything until later when finally boated a few in the 10-14" range on wiggle warts and shad raps. Wind is a factor too so I did spend a lot of time working the boat. Would love to give it another try on a different day - tons of structure to throw at and lots of submerged trees.

Any day spend on the water with your son is still a good day!  smiley
