Fished from the bank with my daughter's boyfriend from about 6:30 to 10:30 or 11:00.  Wonderful sunrise with a nice mix of cloud cover until about 10AM - so I really couldn't complain about the weather.  I witnessed a lot of activity - wakes and surfacing in the early AM.  Coaxed a couple of nice 2 pounders in the early morning on a buzz bait.  Then basically the only pattern was to present a soft plastic (in this case either a T-rig Senko or Wacky Senko) in the pockets and edges of the heavy vegetation and this technique mostly resulted in smaller fish that were just lethargically cruising or hanging tight under the moss.  Ended up with 13 ranging from dinks to 2lbs.  Earlier in the year, this property was very fishable from the bank all the way around the lake - but this late in the Summer, as you would expect, the surface vegetation is heavy out to a good distance from the shoreline, so it was a challenge.
